Phantom Pain

So you lost a limb
But it still hurts!

Why does it still hurt and what can you do to get rid of the pain?

So complex,
Yet so simple!

I understand phantom pain, because I had it!

All your life, that limb was there. Your mind knew it, controlled it and used it every day.

Then the limb was lost. It is no longer there, yet you feel the pain as if it were and medications don't seem to help.

In my case, what I felt was the pain of the day my limb was mutilated. It was not salvageable, so they removed it.

But I could still feel it, like it was still there and still badly torn up.

How does this work? How can I possibly feel something that is no longer there? Why does it hurt so bad?

These may be questions you have asked yourself, so lets take a look at the how and why of it.

It is exactly the same thing as hypnotic anchoring. The limb was there, it was badly mutilated and the pain was anchored because of the attending trauma.  With hypnosis, any X can equal any Y and therefore the anchor can be modified or removed completely.

When I work with a pain client, I refuse to remove the pain completely, because that pain is our alarm system, telling us if there is an injury, pulling our attention to it in order to allow us to fix the problem. In normal pain therapy, removing the pain virtually guarantees the subject will either re-injure themselves or make the existing injury far worse.

But, when the limb is gone, there is no reason not to change the anchor and remove the pain.

HOW are you going to re-injure a missing limb? You simply cannot!

All feeling happens in the mind.

In hypnosis, I demonstrate this by causing the mind to reinterpret my touch on one wrist to be felt on the opposite wrist.

You see, you do not "feel" the touch on your wrist! The nerves in the wrist send an impulse to the mind and the mind interprets it.

Then the mind tells you that I touched you on your wrist and which one I touched.

The same process is used with phantom pain. I simply help you convince your mind that the limb is gone and there can be no pain.

I use exactly the same process to help clients who are headed to the dentist for a root canal.

Honestly, I do not know if they needed the root canal in the first place. Because it is a simple process to just shut off the nerve.

The nerve a root canal destroys and removes.

It could be there is more to it than removing the nerve, but as far as the nerve goes, it can be turned off, just like a light.

It is the same process I use with women about to give birth, to help them go through it without pain.

If you look in the blog, you will find that pain can be converted to heat or pressure, or anything else.

By the same process, pain can be removed completely and permanently.

This page is in the veterans section for a reason. Brother/Sister, I will help you, just like with PTSI and MST, free of charge, to remove the pain from a combat related  loss of limb or limbs. You do not have to suffer anymore.

What are you waiting for? Send me an Email and lets get started, the only thing you have to lose, is the pain!
