Veterans

The following video is for you, my brothers and sisters

This is my personal introduction and welcome to your page here.

By all means, DO watch the video, it is only 3:08 long.

My promise to you, the veteran

Welcome to the Mind Mechanic veterans resource page. The first thing I want to tell you, before anything else, is this:

I have no affiliation with the VA. I do not report to them and they have absolutely no access to anything a veteran and I discuss or work on. Unless they can track me down and legally serve me a subpoena, my files, records, client interactions and progress reports are all closed to them. And, even then, I do not maintain any records that they could use against a veteran I am working with. I will not risk it. I know them and I have dealt with them, and I know what kind of crap they are capable of trying to pull. And what is not written down? Sorry, "I don't recall" would be my answer to most questions. I was willing to die for my brothers and sisters in arms. I still am.

I swear to you, my brothers and sisters, I have your six at all times!

Welcome To Your Page Veterans!

I am going to focus on the main two things that bring veterans to me. PTSI and MST. Understand though, any problems you have as a civilian, which were caused by military service, I can help with. In fact, help a great deal. As stated elsewhere, I work WITH the client. I do not take control of them or even try to fix their problems. They heal themselves. I am just the guide who knows the terrain. The details of what hypnosis actually is, how it works and the multitude of other things it helps with are listed here under the "Issues" tab in the "Issues List." As always, if you have questions, you can either post them in the blog, or send me an E-Mail for a private answer.

Remember, the only "stupid" question, is the one you do not ask.

First let me say this, PTSI is a real problem for those afflicted. No, that is not a typo. It is PTSD in the manual, because they need a label to file it under. Even when I was in treatment at the VA years ago, the doctor told me "PTSD is a natural reaction to 'UNnatural circumstances' or events."

It is NOT a "Disorder" it is an injury. Therefore, it is NOT PTSD, It is PTSI, or "Post Traumatic Stress Injury."

Funny thing here.

A disorder you have to learn to live with.

An "Injury" can heal! Maybe it will never heal completely, but it can improve greatly!

I work with all service related problems. Including but not limited to PTSI and MST. Remember, those civilians with PTSI have the exact same problems as we do. The hypnosis way to address it is the same. No, they were never in combat, but they still have the same issues. You do NOT have to see combat to get it!

And the veteran who feels they are less than for never being in combat? You took exactly the same risk when you signed that blank check for "Anything, up too and including my life" so you are NOT "less than" any other veteran.

You see, I am a Veteran also. If you have a DD-214 showing an honorable discharge, you are in the right place! That DD-214 makes you my brother/sister. I do work for veterans a little different than I do for the general public. Heavy discounts (70% off my commercial rates) and if needed, prices based on what you can afford. (There is a little more “cost” laid out below so read on please. Nothing is hidden) However, if you are coming to me for PTSI or MST related issues, and you can show me your DD-214 AND proof you are 50% or more disabled, due to PTSI or MST, I will work with you free of charge on those PTSI or MST related issues. (Also the “cost” listed below. Again, nothing is hidden) My only interest here is your well being.

Just like in the military, my interest was in my team mates well being. Only a veteran can understand how strong the bond is.

Here are the numbers that concern me. These are several years old, but pay attention, they have only gone up. Since 1999 there have been over 5,200 military members killed in the line of duty. During that same period of time, over 128,500 veterans have taken their own life! That is almost 25 times the number dead of suicide than died on duty! That number is unacceptable!

To me, the "acceptable" number, is zero!

And who knows how many have died in the VA system due to lack of proper care, hidden waiting lists, malpractice and so forth? New numbers and reports seem to come out every day.

Like this article. They charged him with 3 and they know of HOW MANY veterans deaths?
Read the article

And an average of 22 more every single day

Honestly, I am so horrified by the numbers I just listed, I am afraid to attempt pulling up the current information to consider it.

The horrifying fact is, an average of 22 veterans kill themselves every day. I was almost one of them. My son is one of them. I know the cost. I know the pain. I know the feelings and thoughts involved with this silent killer. If I had my way, that number would be ZERO!

Veterans have done their part. They paid a price for the country that few will ever understand. That they are homeless or suffering from things like PTSI and MST makes me angry. Maybe, someday, the V.A. Will realize there are ways, other than pills and what they call “treatment” to help the veteran who is suffering.

It is my belief that their "treatment" does more harm than good.

I am happy to train anyone who works with veterans therapeutically to do the things I do for them. I want the “22 club” reduced to zero new members! I want it extinct! That information is listed under the "Training" tab under "Therapists" for your consideration.

I will train you free of charge!

Now, I am not going to blow smoke up your ass and tell you I can “cure” the PTSI or MST. However, I can assure you, I can help considerably with the symptoms, which ever set or combination you suffer from.

I understand the issue better than most doctors, because I actually live with PTSI and they just read about it in a class.

Sure, maybe they have tried to work with hundreds of people with PTSI or MST, but until you have it, you will never understand it.

It is that simple in my mind.

First, let me say this, PTSI and MST, which are closely related, are natural reactions to unnatural circumstances and experiences. It is perfectly normal for people to get this. It has been a reality for all of humanity's time here. In the civil war, they called PTSI "soldiers heart." In WWI and WWII they called it "shell shock." In Vietnam, they called it "combat fatigue." Now it is PTSI. It has been with us forever. And it has not changed over time. No matter what name they call it, it is a terrible thing to suffer from. And we do suffer when afflicted with PTSI or MST. We suffer every day, even on the good days.

There are other issues related to military service. However, none are as individually debilitating.

Whatever the issue, I can help.

Though the cause of MST is often easier to identify, it is very closely related to PTSI. The mental processes involved are near indistinguishable. The effects? They can be just as debilitating as their close relative PTSI

Contrary to the philosophy that the VA adheres too, I do NOT believe in reliving it over and over hoping it will miraculously “lose power” at some unspecified time in the future.

I believe every time you have to go into that shit, it traumatizes you all over again.

Though the reactions are normal, the exaggerated responses to certain stimuli are not. They are caused by a multitude of factors. One of the potential symptoms of PTSI is the extreme reaction to sudden loud noises. Doctors call it “an exaggerated startle response” because they do not understand it.

Hey, Doc, get your ass out there and see the horrors and experience the shit I did, then tell me it is “exaggerated!”

No, this is what I have learned to do in order to survive!

As a hypnotist, I could help you take that startle response completely away! But, I am a professional and would never do that, because it is an important part of the human survival instinct. So, I help the veteran tone that down to a temporary state of heightened alert.

Yes, your guard still comes up. Fully ready to respond to a potential threat, but you no longer come out of your skin at that unexpected loud noise. This actually enhances your survival reactions, because you are no longer wasting precious seconds with useless jumping and or cringing. You are alert, focused and ready to deal with whatever is at hand.

I am only listing one thing here for a reason. Everyone has a different set of problems associated with these things. I have worked with a stunning variety of symptoms. And I have done so effectively. Because of my background, I am particularly suited to do this thing.

As with all clients, a first session includes “Negativity clearing” which gets rid of a lot of stuff that afflicts us. It “clears the smoke,” so to speak, in order to make it possible to identify the issues that really need to be addressed. I refuse to do what the doctors do, chase symptoms. I want to get to the root cause, because when you take out the root cause, all the symptoms are greatly improved, and some are gone forever. The idea is to bring those symptoms under the veterans complete control and thus, make their life much more livable, more relaxed, more comfortable and more enjoyable. This applies to any military related problem.

As stated elsewhere on this site, I use “blind therapy” wherever possible. I am especially aware of this need when it comes to military related issues such as these.

I am a veteran with PTSI. I went to the VA seeking help for a long time and am aware of their methodologies.

I have repeatedly been through their residential PTSI treatment.

They do the best they know how (most of them) but, that's the problem, they do not know how to help, because they do not, and cannot understand the real issues. I don't care how many books they have read or classes they have aced.

PTSI has a wide range of potential symptoms. Few people have them all. Whatever the symptoms you do have, the rate of improvement with hypnotherapy, done by someone who knows the condition, is unparalleled in my experience.

There is hope, there is a way to bring those symptoms under your control.

This gives an idea of what we face

All of these have a root cause. All of them can be improved through doing the work. Everyone can do the work if they desire to. These things can get better! You can improve your life considerably by reducing these issues as significantly as possible through the process of hypnosis.
What have you got to lose?
Now, what have you got to gain?
You can gain control of your life again!
In conventional therapy, the therapist wants the veteran to relive the traumatic experiences over and over again “Till they lose their power” which is ridiculous! “Didn't that fuck me up enough the first time?” It is absolutely unnecessary! The issues can usually be dealt with without reliving the traumas involved. Should the traumatic event need to be addressed directly, which does happen sometimes, it can be addressed, in hypnosis, without the resulting trauma. The fact is, the mind knows what happened. And it can deal with it, with the tools given at birth, without going through that shit again! As a hypnotist, I don't even need the details the vast majority of the time, though sometimes, I will ask a few simple questions so I know where to guide you next. You already know what happened. How exactly will me hearing the details help you? It wont! Reliving a traumatic event, IMHO, only serves to re-traumatize you!

(As an interesting side note) If you look at the suicide rates for conventional therapists who want you to tell them the dirty details over and over, you will quickly realize that not only do these arcane methodologies kill the person seeking help, they also kill the person who claims to be helping them. This is a sad fact, but it is real. “Physician, heal they self” is the phrase that comes to mind. God bless them, their heart is in the right place, but they damage everyone and everything that enters that room and goes into the past to relive something that seriously messed them up the first time. And they are killing themselves with their misguided efforts.

I am not willing to join that club either! I guess I am just not big on clubs.

Depression, anger issues, feeling alone, feeling that you are an outcast, anxiety, fear of crowds, feel of loss because you no longer have your team around to support and protect you and many others can be made much better. These symptoms can be present without having PTSI or MST. Hopefully you have read the information on hypnosis here and understand, you do not give up any control when you are in hypnotic trance. You are fully aware at all times, and though the word sleep is used, you are not asleep. You make all decisions and agree to everything before it becomes effective. In hypnosis, you are the one that fixes you.

The hypnotist is merely a tour guide. Taking you to the tools and showing you how to use them to self repair.

Now, I want to talk about the cost of my services a bit more. There is a bit more for the veteran to pay than just whatever monetary fee (if any) is agreed too. I want you to post on the websites about your experience with hypnosis.

And I want you to spread the word to other vets who suffer.

That's the hard cost involved. I ask this to help other veterans understand, I will help them also.

Lastly, even if there is no fee, if you have a few bucks and feel you got something of value from my working with you, and you wish to donate, in order to help other veterans, I will not turn the donation away. And, I will absolutely guarantee that any donation is used to help other veterans. This work is not free, so please consider it.

But the most important small cost I would put on you is this. After working with me, post your experience on this website, and if you feel you gained something, tell other vets. Let them know about me and what I do. Tell them, I am a veteran myself and I help my fellow vets. Pass the word and help me bring that 22 number to ZERO!

Together, we can completely destroy the 22 club and turn it into the “no more club."

Expect miracles, accept success

Only a veteran will understand these meme's

Family, brothers and sisters, maybe not blood relatives, but closer, because we have spilled our blood together. All for the common cause of our country and our blood relatives, extended blood relatives, neighbors, friends, their families, their extended families, all Americans, no color, no religion, no limits. We covered each others six in the service, we should continue that now.

Because nobody can understand how important that is, if they have not served.

This is our brotherhood explained perfectly

Henry V speech
(William Shakespeare)

What’s he that wishes so? My cousin Westmoreland? No, my fair cousin. If we are marked to die, we are enough to do our country loss; and if to live, the fewer men, the greater share of honour. God’s will! I pray thee, wish not one man more.

By Jove, I am not covetous for gold, nor care I who doth feed upon my cost; it yearns me not if men my garments wear; such outward things dwell not in my desires; but if it be a sin to covet honour, I am the most offending soul alive. No, faith, my coz, wish not a man from England. God’s peace! I would not lose so great an honour as one man more, methinks, would share from me for the best hope I have. O, do not wish one more!

Rather proclaim it, Westmoreland, through my host, that he which hath no stomach to this fight, let him depart. His passport shall be made, and crowns for convoy put into his purse. We would not die in that man’s company that fears his fellowship to die with us.

This day is call’d the feast of Crispian. He that outlives this day, and comes safe home, will stand a tip-toe when this day is named, and rouse him at the name of Crispian. He that shall live this day, and see old age, will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours, And say, “To-morrow is Saint Crispian.” Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars, and say, “These wounds I had on Crispian’s day.”

Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot, but he’ll remember with advantages what feats he did that day. Then shall our names, familiar in his mouth as household words, Harry the King, Bedford, and Exeter, Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester, be in their flowing cups freshly rememb’red.

This story shall the good man teach his son; and Crispin Crispian shall ne’er go by, from this day to the ending of the world, but we in it shall be remembered, we few, we happy few, we band of brothers. For he to-day that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile, this day shall gentle his condition; and gentlemen in England now a-bed shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here, and hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks that fought with us upon
Saint Crispin’s day.

(Henry V)

--William Shakespeare

Here is one of the best “Henry V” performances by Kenneth Branagh from the 1989 film that he also directed. The whole film is as good as this very scene:
